La Maison Valmont and Naeem Khan hosted an intimate cocktail reception at La Maison Valmont at The Carlyle in NYC in celebration of Valmont’s newest fragrance, Just Bloom and Naeem Khan’s new floral art collection. The event welcomed some of New York City’s most stylish guests including; Colin Cowie, Roopal Patel, Avril Graham, Robert Burke, Kate McGuire, Marylin Chinitz, Marita Starou, Jot Sandhu, Naaz Valvani, Stanley Cassleman and Clémence Von Mueffling.

Attendees welcomed Spring as they experienced Valmont’s scent, Just Bloom and previewed never-before-seen art inspired by Naeem’s work with Andy Warhol. Naeem created custom artwork for the occasion to reflect Valmont’s newest fragrance bottle in the Collezione Privata collection. In addition to the art, exquisite fashion pieces selected from Naeem’s collections were also on display at La Maison Valmont in color themes to match the fragrance bottle and his artwork. As an exclusive celebration of his partnership with Valmont, Naeem personally signed ten Just Bloom bottles which guests were able to purchase at the event.

Naeem Khan and Sarah Gargano hosted a fireside chat where Naeem discussed his incredible journey into fashion and artwork. Naeem detailed his story of coming to NYC from Mumbai, finding himself at the epicenter of the NYC social scene in the 1970’s at Studio 54, in the atelier with Halston and designing dresses for Liza Minelli and Elizabeth Taylor and paving his way to launching his namesake collection. Naeem also recounted his time spent with Andy Warhol, who taught him to draw and how the pair worked together on Warhol’s floral artwork that has inspired his current art pieces. Naeem spoke about what prompted him to start painting and what he feels he is able to communicate to his audience through artwork.
